VIRGIE LANE (ROGERS)


Mrs. Virgie Lane, oldest daughter of W.W. and Mary McAda Rogers of Ravenden Spriongs was born near Hardy January 9 ,1891, and passed away at her home in Ann Harbor, Mich. on December 23, 1938.
In February, 1903 she, with her parents moved to Ravenden Springs where she grew to young womanhood. On July 24, 1910, she was united in marriage to Renold Lane and to this union four children were born, one dying in infancy. The thre surving are Mrs. Clyde Dodd, Gatewodd, MO, Leslie and Lawanda at home.
Besides the husband and three children, she is survived by her parents, two brothers, Claud of New London, Texas, and Coda of Ravenden Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lane of Imboden, Mrs. Colon White of Revenden Springs, and Mrs. Ivora Stewart of Leavensworth, Kansas, and one small grandson, Keith Dodd.
Virgie, as she was familiarly know to her relatives and friends was a lovable character, a true friend, and affectionate daughter and sister, a devoted wife and mother, whose home was her kingdom, where she was queen.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. DeVore of Imboden at the home of her parents at Ravenden Springs. Burial was in Janes Creek Cemetery.
